Wine Staging originated from Pipelight, a software to use Windows browser plugins in Linux/FreeBSD web browsers. Before doing so, let us take a quick look at the history of this project. There are indeed some major changes, which we want to explain in this post. Some of you may have already wondered why there were no Wine Staging releases lately and whether anything has changed.

The sample size for the study was 100 couples (50 couples with working wives and 50 couples’s non-working wives). The present study attempted to compare working and non-working couples on self-esteem, psychological well-being and stress-related symptoms. There has been growing evidence that it affects self-esteem and psychological well-being of husbands in more than one way and often adversely. Employment status of wives in India has been debated vastly, more specifically in northern India.
Thus, the notion that stress is bad for health and it can make us ill has become a modern cultural truism. It has become accepted wisdom that stress influences our physical and psychological health more specifically, too much stress can make us ill. Stress occurs when individuals confront situations which are perceived as overwhelming and difficult to cope. Nous concluons sur les causes de la fragmentation de la recherche, et le dilemme très présent entre la pertinence de la recherche pour le pays et son ouverture internationale. Nous examinons en détail les orientations de la politique de la recherche et l’ouverture des chercheurs à l’international. Nous utilisons ici toutes les données disponibles à ce jour sur le pays, y compris la dernière enquête sur l’innovation qui a permis de rendre compte pour la première fois de la R&D privée industrielle assez importante et paradoxalement sans lien avec la recherche universitaire et publique. L’article examine successivement les principaux piliers de la recherche dans le pays : la recherche universitaire en s’attardant sur les trois principales universités qui effectuent de la recherche, le Conseil National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) libanais, à la fois dans sa fonction de coordinateur de la recherche dans le pays et dans ses propres centres et enfin l’important contingent de centres de recherche privés, notamment en sciences sociales. Cependant le pays connaît aussi une forte émigration et un manque d’opportunités de travail que n’arrive pas à compenser une économie tournée prioritairement vers les services.

Le pays présente certaines caractéristiques remarquables : une production scientifique importante, une qualité reconnue de ses médecins et de ses hôpitaux et de manière plus générale un système universitaire important et ancien et une recherche établie de longue date. Cet article présente l’organisation des institutions de recherche au Liban et les défis que doit affronter la recherche dans ce petit pays du Moyen-Orient.
